Amy Lou Adams Amy Lou Adams (born on the 20th of August, 1974 in Aviano, Italy). American actress. Famous for her naive and delightful characters. Adams was born and was raised in Castle Rock Colorado, as the youngest child of seven. Her father served in U.S. service in Italy. The mid-1990s saw her begin doing professional dance and performance at the Boulder Dinner Theatre in Colorado and Country Dinner Playhouse. Then in Minnesota, at a local theatre she was selected to play a role in an unrealized documentary film about beauty pageants called Drop Dead Gorgeous. After her screen debut that was successful with the role of an annoying but pleasant contestant, Janet moved from Minnesota to Los Angeles where she began a professional acting career. Her husband was the actor Tony Curtis from June 1951 to September 1962 and her mother to Kelly Curtis and Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh was found by actress Norma Shearer and signed a contract to join MGM during the 1940s. She appeared in a range of popular films during the following decade, such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (from the year 1960) and Living It Up (1954) which starred Martin Lewis.
